Explore the numerous horse farms in the area. Shelbyville is the Saddlebred Horse Capital of the World. Visit many different farms and see classic American Saddlebreds, Thoroughbreds, and even an Icelandic horse farm.
During May - June and September and November is thoroughbred racing season. Visit Churchill Downs and Keeneland to experience of thrill of racing.
All bourbon is whiskey but not all whiskey is bourbon. This is one of the many facts you will learn at the on the Bourbon Trail at the various distillery tours in the region. There are two distilleries within minutes from the house.
There are many great golf courses in the area. The PGA Championship was held in 2024 at the Valhalla Golf Club.
If shopping is your preference, there are adorable boutique shops to the open-air shopping at the Outlet of the Bluegrass, there is something for everyone.

Yes! We offer pots, pans, skillets, crockpot, air fryer, electric kettle, blender, hand mixer, plates, bowels, utensils, glasses, cups, toaster, drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, Keurig machine, ice machine.
Do you offer spices and oils?
Yes! We have the basic spices such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil, Italian seasoning, onion powder, chili powder, vegetable oil, olive oil and cooking spray.
Do you offer sugar?
We only offer Stevia packets. Free free to bring your own sugar if you prefer something different or buy sugar on your drive to the home.
Do you offer coffee or tea?
Yes! We have ground coffee and Keurig cups. If you prefer a specialty coffee, please bring your own or buy locally upon arrival.
We want to grill, do you offer the propane?
Yes! We keep two sets of propane tanks for your use.
